Hey Arnold: The basics of parenthood

Sometimes watching cartoons are much more meaningful than watching typical Hollywood movies. Despite of my age, I still prefer watching cartoons- not the type that is only suitable for children, but the type suitable for watching with the whole family.

Currently watching this Nickelodeon cartoon: Hey Arnold. This cartoon is just an ordinary cartoon depicting the life of an ordinary boy in the under developed parts of the US facing the joys and pains of childhood and family.

This cartoon is not only suitable for children but in my opinion ideal for a person who wants to be a good parent and a good person in the society. This cartoon doesn’t zoom entirely on the main character but also the side characters like Arnold’s grandfather, his friends and his friend’s parents, depicting what will become of a child if the parents act in a certain sort of manner.

Hey Arnold is a good and entertaining source of parenting knowledge, and also makes a person (especially a parent) to be more in tune to the inner demands of a child and how a child thinks when facing something.
