Lontar kepala babi kat Masjid

Baru-baru ni, Malaysia dikejutkan dengan macam2 kes yang menghina agama satu sama lain terutamanya Islam, Kristian, ngan Hindu. First isu roboh kuil nk dipolitikkan, pengunaan kalimah Allah, pastu bakar membakar tempat ibadat, skang baling kepala babi dalam masjid. Ayoo..

Tapi, semua benda ni berlaku baru2 ni je. Macam2 benda politik. Dulu2, zaman orang2 politik x kecohkan isu perkauman, ak rasa Malaysia tu memang cukup aman. Semua bangsa, agama semua tolerate satu sama lain.

Serius, ak rindu Malaysia zaman dulu2. Dewan rakyat aman, badan perundangan x dipersoal, dan BPR boleh buat kerja betul2. Sekarang, situasi dia dah jadi complicated..

Tapi, kala nak pendapat ak, ak rasa Malaysia sekarang tengah kena serang. Bukan dari segi ketenteraan tapi dari segi halus. Bukan nak tunding jari, tapi saje nak keluarkan andaian. X heran kalau badan perisikan dari negara yang x senang dgn Malaysia nk jatuhkan kita. Operasi sabotaj dari negara lain  pehaps??

Walau camnepun, ak doakan agar Malaysia aman sentiasa dan supaya kita jgn api-pikan apa2 konflik yg berlaku di sekeliling kita. Amin

  1. religion was a tool to divide people and retard critical thinking. it was successful in the dark ages, in the 'glorious days' of religion and in the modern days. look at us, we're fighting over pathetic issues. the poisonous characteristics of religion in general are pretty obvious right now. ;) just a thought.

  2. there is a deeper meaning in faith than we humans can comprehend if we choose to rebel or make our thoughts shallow.
In the dark ages, religion divided the Europeans, but at the same time, the sciences thrived in the Islamic Empire which was based on faith itself.
Now relativistic Science is proving to us that we are living in a world of illusion, empty space, and perception. (Read my post: Pondering Time: 10/2009).
Faith and religion are never poisons but what makes them poisonous is how shallow people choose to intepret it and the misconceptions of religion planted within us thanks to the modern media.
Back to this issue, I beliee that if eeryone in this world could be slightly open minded and tolerant, I believe that mindless conflicts like this will no longer exist to haunt us.

  4. I agree with religion being an obvious source of spirituality. ( i think that's what you meant on the first paragraph)

I am not denying the good things that people do in the name of Islam/Christianity. Without Islam, Europe might never recover from the dark ages. Without christianity, there might not be an age of Enlightenment. etc.

Modern media has little to do with the bad perception of religion. When Prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him, passed away, tensions among the Muslim community were already present. Not everyone agreed with having Abu Bakar as the Khalifah. Things got worse during Uthman's era. It peaked with his murder by the followers of Ali. Then Ali became the Khalifah. He was too murdered. By Uthman's follower. From that point on, we have to sections of Islam. Syiah and Sunni. No modern media, no 'western power', no jews (since most muslims blindly hate jews for some reason).

religions (all of em) also stress that our whole point of being is to accomplish two things:
    1. Avoid going to hell
    2. Being able to go to heaven

that to me is a very dishonest motivation to do good, bribery and kiss ass like.

i don't intend to offend by the way, just wanna clarify what i think. we should really have this conversation one day. i'm interested to hear what you have to say. cause u're a very good guy my friend. take care ;)
